"ALAN 2" is a wheeled, two–axle, all-wheel drive vehicle with enhanced mine protection of the MRAP type (mine resistant ambush protected - protected from mine detonation and ambush attacks). Cars of this type have a large ground clearance, a V-shaped bottom, which allows them to resist fragments and dissipate the energy of the explosion.

 “ALAN 2” has a high mine protection level Stanag 4569 level 1– 8 kilograms in TNT equivalent under each wheel and the same amount under the bottom, 50 kg TNT equalizer at a distance of 5 m. The machine can withstand shots from any small arms with armor-piercing cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber, Dragunov sniper rifle and 12.7mm NATO standard cartridges.
